Introduction
The Changsha Heshun Ultra-Fast Charging Station serves as a benchmark example of zero-carbon transportation in inland China. Covering an area of 4,600 square meters with 68 charging bays, the site integrates photovoltaics, energy storage, and ultra-fast charging through 1,400 m² of PV carports and two JDEnergy eBlock-200 cabinets, generating an estimated 1,000 kWh of electricity per day. With intelligent energy management, the site increases the number of charging piles without expanding grid capacity, alleviates the shortage of regional charging facilities, boosts the self-consumption ratio of PV power, and enhances overall power quality. Excess power can be fed back to the grid, bringing additional economic returns. In an era where the development of EVs and charging infrastructure remains unbalanced, the deployment of integrated PV-ESS charging stations has become increasingly vital.
